Creating Space…

Hey Dreamers!  Wow, if you were at Key West last night then you know we had 53 people for FrankLee’s show!  The moment he took the stage, people started dropping in and Aubreya and I were thinking wow, this is going to get crazy! It did, but in the best way.  We now have 9 new members to our Dreamers group and the room stayed held tight at 50 throughout the hour.

50 Plus People!

FrankLee was at his best belting out requests and a special birthday song for Dear Misfit, one of our very own faithful Dreamers!!  It was an exciting show and when guests start to IM Aubs and I just to say how much they love Frank, it just rounds out the night and goes down in the books as a show to remember.

But we will remember this evening for more than the music and the crowds.  Liz Harley of Key West had commissioned an artist name Fushia Nightfire to create a 3D collage which she used as the music venue for last night’s show.  The atmosphere was colorful with shades of purple and black walls and interesting lighting.  My pictures do not do it justice but I was so impressed with the build, I thought it would be fun to feature the venue and artist in the blog today.

First off, the venue did not seem laggy at all which I later learned had to do with the small number of scripts running it. The colors were easy on the eyes but what drew my attention most was the items swirling around outside the venue but within the sphere that contained it.  Camming around, I saw instruments, many different kinds, colorful and moving as if they were floating in the air.   To quote Liz, “the artist decided to build something that was musically themed along the lines of old styled Jazz posters that tend to have a montage of musical instruments and notes that look as if they are dancing across the page.”  It was indeed a site to see and one I thoroughly enjoyed!

I am impressed with Liz and Key West to launch this “art space” installation and would encourage everyone to check it out soon.  Congratulations Liz, this is really innovative and thought provoking. I am always amazed at the things people can do in SL!  We look forward to seeing more of Fushia Nightfires work in the future.
