Shoot the Breeze

Blog Birthed!

Hello, reader!

FrankLee at the VineYou know, after performing live music in SL for over three years, I think it’s high time for my very own blog and web site. Don’t you? So here it is, and here we are; you and me.

Three years plus! Wow! Let me tell you it has been a wild and happy ride. I couldn’t have done it without all the love and support from my dear fans and close friends — and especially Winter! She is after all to blame for FrankLee Anatra’s presence on the SL music scene. Without her gentle prodding and encouragement I wouldn’t be typing at this moment and wouldn’t be at my musical best. She’s the love of my life, so blame her if I hurt your ears. 😛

I’d also like to drop a few names of some of the folks who have picked me up and dusted me off along the way.

Cali Playfair, you came to my first show and proceeded to open doors for me all around the grid. I can’t thank you enough for that kindness and guidance you passed in my direction simply out of the generosity of your heart!

And thank you, Freestar Tamas, you’re a good friend and a hugely talented colleague. You took me under your wing and helped me fly!

Celestria Henly, as my first manager you taught me a lot and got me opportunities I wouldn’t have had. I appreciate all you did for me.

To my second manager, Jenna Dirval of DMA, I can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done.

To all the many venue owners who took a chance on me over the years, I am eternally indebted!

And faithful fans… what can I say? I can count more of you than I ever expected to. You’re a big reason why I want to get better at performing and writing and learning new material. Knowing you’re out there listening and singing along gives me a feeling I can’t describe. You make it all worth it!

John Lennon statue on Mathew Street, Liverpool UKJBird Melodie, my manager, has been a blessing in my life. Your energy and faith in the cause is unbound, kid. We do this together as a team, and I’m blessed to call you my friend!

Winter and I have just returned from a Beatles Mecca of sorts in the UK. I am refreshed and inspired from our holiday and ready to dig in and play!

Thanks for visiting the site! JBird and I will endeavor to keep it fresh and a place worth landing. See you on the grid I hope!

Franklee! You, Winter, your music, all of it just makes me smile everyday. It’s an honor to be your friend and to work with you in SL. I feel very blessed to take this journey with you and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

One evening quite a long time ago, I was popping around SL looking for something interesting to do or see when I happened upon the Drunken Drow. I didn’t actually realize it was there, to tell the truth and was looking at all things fantasy in the shopping area. But then I heard the most wonderful tenor voice singing such sweet strains of familiar songs that I had to go way inside. Once there I found a treat indeed, my first Franklee performance. What talent, I remember thinking. I still feel that way. What marvelous talent!!!!. I have come to listen to you whenever I can ever since and never been disappointed. You and Winter are so gracious in the way you treat others, I am glad to know both of you. Do keep singing.
